The FAMB has three 2012 legislative priorities aimed at leveling the playing field for all types of mitigation. These priorities include (1) legislation to allow the Florida Department of Transportation the opportunity to choose mitigation bank credits to offset unavoidable wetland impacts, (2) requiring public entities to meet the same standards as private mitigation banks when providing mitigation to third parties, and (3) aligning the state mitigation requirements to those of the 2008 Federal Compensatory Mitigation Rule.
